Young Patient Referred to Chennai for Specialized Cardiac Care

Belaguntha, Feb, 26: For advanced treatment of a heart condition, a child will be sent to Apollo Children’s Hospital in Chennai under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (National Child Health Programme).

According to reports, a team of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram led by Ayush doctor Jagannath Pati visited an Anganwadi centre in Belaguntha to conduct health check-ups of children. During the examination, they detected a heart problem in Prashanjit Gouda, son of Ramachandra Gouda from Kebir Brahmapur village under Belaguntha block.

After bringing the matter to the attention of higher authorities, arrangements have been made to send Prashanjit to Apollo Children’s Hospital in Chennai for treatment of his heart condition. Ayush doctor Jagannath Pati informed that the treatment will be provided free of cost.

Prashanjit’s father Ramachandra Gouda and mother Satyabhama Gouda expressed their gratitude to Ganjam District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bhawani Shankar Mishra, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram Programme Officer Lopamudra Mishra, and the entire RBSK team for their support.
