Bhubaneswar,March, 5: From the upcoming academic year, enrollment for the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP/B.Ed) will begin across the state. This enrollment will take place in five government universities and eight government colleges.
The enrollment will be based on the National Entrance Test (NCTE-2026) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Applications for the exam have already started. Online applications will open from March 10, and candidates can submit their online fees by March 11. Corrections to the application can be made from March 12 to March 14. The entrance examination is scheduled for April 17. This information has been officially announced by the Higher Education Department.
Based on percentiles in the NCTE-2026 entrance exam, eligible candidates can apply through the SAMMS portal and select their preferred institution. The merit list will also be prepared based on these percentiles, according to the Higher Education Department.
After selection, students will be directly enrolled in the 4-year B.Ed program, which will culminate in the award of a graduate and B.Ed degree after four years. The NCTE-2026 exam will be conducted in 13 languages in a computer-based test (CBT) mode. Students can access details on the NTA website: https://nta.ac.in�.
Additionally, for the 2026–27 academic year, entrance tests for 2-year B.Ed, M.Ed, and B.H.Ed courses will be conducted in advance by the State Selection Board (SSB).
