Bhubaneswar, Sept 11 [UDN}:During the 10th Crop Weather Watch Group Meeting (CWWG) held at Krushi Bhawan today, departmental officials confirmed that the state has an adequate stock of fertilisers to meet seasonal agricultural requirements. The supply of fertilisers remains smooth across all districts. Farmers are advised to ignore unverified rumours and not panic while purchasing fertilisers, as adequate supplies are available for a smooth and successful cropping season ahead.
The Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment chaired the meeting.
He reviewed the Southwest Monsoon rainfall status and forecasts, Kharif crop coverage activities across the state, reservoir levels, and the availability of seeds and planting materials. He also evaluated product-wise fertiliser availability and ongoing enforcement activities regarding seeds, fertilisers, and insecticides.
During the meeting, he emphasised the need for close and timely monitoring of all agricultural activities across the state and directed all concerned stakeholders to ensure timely support to farmers.
