Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Launches Major Membership Drive in Nabarangpur with Goal of 5,000 Enrolments

Nabarangpur, May 28:  The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, regarded as the world’s largest student organization, works with the ideology of “Nation First” and the slogan “Student Power is Nation Power.” Established on July 9, 1949, ABVP has continuously worked for the interests of the nation and students.

Every year, ABVP conducts a membership campaign, and its large membership base reflects its status as one of the biggest student organizations globally. Like previous years, the membership drive for the current academic session will begin in June.

During the provincial review and planning meeting held in Koraput on April 25–26, a target of enrolling 1 lakh members across the 14 organizational districts of Western Odisha was set for the 2026–27 academic year.

State Secretary Setanshu Sekhar Barai informed that ABVP has set a goal of enrolling 5,000 members in Nabarangpur district this academic year.
He further stated that ABVP is also fully prepared to contest student union elections. The organization aims to establish 30 college branches and announce 10 town branches in Nabarangpur district.

Those present at the press conference included National Executive Member Subash Nayak, Koraput Division Organization Secretary Divya Jyoti Nanda, Division Social Media Head Nrusingha Barik, District Rashtriya Kalamanch Head Rudra Gouda, along with Shubha Jani and Shasmita Bhatra.
