Ama Hospital Scheme Reviewed in Koraput: Collector Directs Officials to Speed Up Pending Construction and Development Works

Koraput:Sept 25 [UDN}: A district-level committee meeting of the ‘Ama Hospital’ scheme was held under the chairmanship of the District Collector of Koraput to review the progress of various ongoing healthcare-related projects across the district.

During the meeting, officials presented updates on the implementation and progress of different projects being undertaken under the Ama Hospital initiative. The committee reviewed the status of completed works as well as projects that are still under implementation, with particular attention given to pending activities that require timely completion.

The District Collector directed the concerned officials and implementing agencies to expedite the remaining works and ensure that all pending activities are completed at the earliest. Emphasis was also placed on maintaining proper coordination among the departments involved so that healthcare infrastructure projects can be completed efficiently and made available for public use without unnecessary delay.

The meeting also stressed the importance of providing quality patient care at government health facilities. Officials were instructed to give priority to cleanliness, sanitation and the overall upkeep of hospitals and healthcare centres so that patients and their attendants can receive services in a safe, hygienic and comfortable environment.

Improvement of existing health infrastructure was another key focus of the meeting. The committee discussed measures aimed at strengthening healthcare facilities and improving the overall standard of services available to people across Koraput district.

The review meeting brought together officials and representatives associated with the implementation of the Ama Hospital programme, including the Health & Family Welfare Department, Works Department and other concerned authorities. The District Collector reiterated the need for timely execution, proper monitoring and adherence to quality standards in all ongoing works.

The Ama Hospital initiative is aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure and patient-friendly facilities in government hospitals and health institutions. The district administration’s review is expected to help accelerate pending projects and further strengthen the delivery of healthcare services to people in Koraput.
