Annual Function of Dhusuri Press Union Held with Grandeur, Recognizing Contributions of Local Media Professionals

Kothar, May 05:: The second annual function of the Dhusuri Press Union was held at Basanti Padia with participation from several eminent personalities, who highlighted the importance of the media as the fourth pillar of democracy.
The meeting was presided over by Union President Santosh Das. Ashok Kumar Puhan, representative of the Minister, attended as the chief guest. Senior advocate of the Odisha High Court, Debashish Samal, joined as the keynote speaker and spoke about the social responsibility of journalists.
Distinguished guests included District Council Member Pradeep Kumar Mallik, BJP District Vice President Chaturbhuja Nayak, Dhusuri Sarpanch Antaryami Pati, Professor Sridhar Kumar Sahu, and social worker Nishikanta Nayak, who praised the activities of the union.
Vice President Laxminarayan Mishra introduced the guests, while senior journalist and editor Dipti Ranjan Nayak presented the editorial report.
On this occasion, several individuals were felicitated for their contributions in different fields:

Cultural programs, including dance performances by school children, were also presented.
Members of the organization including Ananta Sahu, Rabindra Pani, Gayatri Sahu, Sasmita Das, Dipak Biswal, Mrutyunjay Sahu, Rabindra Sethi, and Brajendra Mohanty extended their support in organizing the event.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Treasurer Ratikanta Nayak.
