Jeypore:March, 6: Young IPS officer Arjita Mittal of the 2022 batch has been appointed as the new Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Jeypore. She will take charge from the current SDPO Partha Jagadish Kashyap.
The Odisha Home Department has issued an official order in this regard. IPS officer Kashyap has been transferred to the Koraput Police Headquarters, and the order states that he must join his new post immediately.
According to the notification issued by the Home Department, until further instructions are received, Kashyap will report to the Superintendent of Police of Koraput.
After completing Anti-Extremist Tactics (AET) training and the special foundation course while serving as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Balasore, Arjita Mittal has now been appointed as the SDPO of Jeypore.
Similarly, Anugu Shiva Maruti Reddy, a 2023-batch IPS officer who completed AET training and the foundation course while serving as ASP in Koraput, has been directed to join as SDPO of G. Udayagiri in Kandhamal district.
It may be noted that Partha Jagadish Kashyap had joined as SDPO here in the first week of March 2025.
