Bali Jatra Goes Global: Indonesia to Participate as Mahanadi Hosts Spectacular Cultural Programmes

Cuttack, Sept 8 [UDN}:Cuttack is set to witness an even more vibrant and internationally significant celebration of the historic Bali Jatra this year, as Indonesia will participate in the grand festival. The inclusion of Indonesia is expected to further strengthen the historical and cultural connection between Odisha and the Southeast Asian island nation, recalling the centuries-old maritime links established by ancient Odia sailors and traders.

Bali Jatra, one of the most celebrated cultural and commercial festivals of Odisha, commemorates the glorious maritime tradition of the ancient Kalinga region. This year, the participation of Indonesia is expected to add a special international dimension to the festival and make the celebrations more attractive and memorable for visitors.
