Bargarh, May 04: On the tourism map of Bargarh district, the district has gained new prominence as two of its major temples have been granted the status of tourism destinations, bringing खुशी among the residents.
Bargarh: In an effort to further enrich the tourism landscape of Odisha, the State Tourism Department has newly identified four पर्यटन destinations. Among them, two prominent religious sites from Bargarh district have been included, creating a wave of happiness among the local people.
According to a notification issued by the Director of the Tourism Department on April 18, Baidyanath Temple, Deogaon under Bargarh block and Bisweswar Temple, Saranda under Attabira block have been officially declared as religious tourism centers.
The decision of the state government has been widely welcomed by the general public and devotees of the district. With this recognition, there are strong expectations that these temples will witness infrastructure development and beautification.
This move is also expected to boost tourism in the region and open up new avenues for economic growth at the local level.
For a long time, local residents had been demanding official recognition for these sacred sites. They have now expressed their gratitude to the State Tourism Department for taking this step.
