Ranpur,April 07: Ahead of the Pravesh Utsav (school enrollment drive) for the 2026–27 academic year, an intensive education awareness campaign has begun in Ranpur block.
In Kandarasinha and Deuli villages, officials and educators went door-to-door to invite parents for enrollment in pre-primary (Shishu Vatika) classes. Children were welcomed with chocolates, roses, and sweets, while parents were honored with shawls and bouquets.
The participation of Speaker Surama Padhy added enthusiasm to the event. Among others present were Zilla Parishad member Laxmipriya Tarai, social worker Abhishek Samantaray, Additional District Education Officer Banlata Behera, Block Education Officer Pindu Kumar Pradhan, Resource Centre Coordinators Sushil Kumar Rana, Ajay Kumar Pradhan, Chittaranjan Kundu, State Primary Teachers’ Association General Secretary Jyoti Ranjan Das, and Ranpur Block NPS Teachers’ Association President Jyoti Ranjan Kar.
Teachers, Anganwadi workers, and villagers also actively participated in the program and helped raise awareness among parents about the importance of enrolling children in school.
