Cattle Feed Distributed Among Livestock in Flood-Affected Namo Gram Panchayat of Jaleswar Block, Balasore

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 22 [UDN}:With a strong focus on the protection and welfare of livestock and other animals, cattle feed prepared by OMFED (Odisha Milk Federation) is being distributed in the flood-affected Namo Gram Panchayat under Jaleswar Block of Balasore district. The distribution initiative is being carried out in the presence of elected public representatives and officials from the concerned government departments.
The measure has been undertaken as part of the relief and support efforts for livestock affected by the recent floods. Adequate availability of nutritious cattle feed is particularly important during such emergencies, as prolonged flooding can severely disrupt the availability of fodder and other essential resources for farmers and livestock owners.
Through this initiative, the authorities are working to ensure that cattle and other livestock receive necessary nourishment and care during the difficult flood situation. The distribution of OMFED-prepared cattle feed is expected to provide immediate assistance to affected farmers and help safeguard their livestock from nutritional deficiencies and related health problems.
The presence of local representatives and departmental officials during the distribution also reflects the coordinated efforts of the administration to extend timely support to flood-affected communities. The initiative highlights the government’s commitment to protecting livestock and supporting rural families whose livelihoods depend heavily on animal husbandry, particularly during periods of natural calamity.
