Nabarangpur , Aug 27 [UDN}:The election of office-bearers of the Nabarangpur District Badminton Association (NDBA) was successfully conducted today, with a new executive committee unanimously elected for a four-year term.
Rakesh Kumar Gupta was elected President, while Ashok Sahu was chosen as Vice-President. Lingaraj Mahanty was elected Secretary, with Chandan Maharana and Byasdeb Behera appointed as Joint Secretaries. Umakanta Raul was elected Treasurer, all unopposed.
Rabi Narayan Behera, T. Sripati and Dharmendra Singh were selected as Executive Committee Members, while Umakanta Sadhangi was appointed as Advisor.
Advocate Somesh Gantayat served as the Election Officer and oversaw the entire election process. Shailendra Choudhury, Joint Secretary of the Odisha State Badminton Association (OSBA), attended as the observer. ITDA PA Rajiv Sahu and In-charge District Sports Officer Shobhan Pattnaik were present as special invitees and congratulated the newly elected office-bearers.
The general meeting was attended by sports enthusiasts and representatives from different parts of Nabarangpur district, including S. Jagadish Kumar, Ajay Kumar Nayak, Chakradhar Panda, S. Prahallad, Biswanath Singh, Suraj Maharana, Atul Agrawal, Murali Bhushan, Praveen Pattnaik and Shiddheshwar Behera, among others.
