Umarkot, March, 12: The last date for filing nominations for the Upper Koraput Advocates’ Association election, which is scheduled to be held on March 28, was Monday. On the final day, one candidate filed a nomination for each position.
For the post of President, lawyer Arun Pattnaik submitted his nomination; for Vice President, Shankar De; for Editor, Krishnachandra Nanda; and for the post of Co-Editor, Suman Samal. For the Treasurer position, Harihar Satpathy submitted the nomination.
Senior lawyer Ranjibi Ravindra Pattnaik was appointed as the Returning Officer for the election. The election officer informed that the nominations of the candidates will be verified on Tuesday.
