Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Gets Major Boost in Odisha as EV Charging Stations Will Come Up on State Highways, National Highways, and OSRTC Bus Terminals

Bhubaneswar,  July 30 UDN}:  Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations will soon be installed at strategic locations along state and national highways as well as at OSRTC bus stands across Odisha, according to a statement by Bibhuti Jena. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the state’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure and making EV travel more convenient and accessible for commuters and long-distance travellers.

The proposed charging stations along major state and national highways are expected to provide essential charging facilities to electric vehicle users travelling between cities, towns and rural areas. At the same time, the installation of EV charging points at OSRTC bus stands will help promote the adoption of electric buses and other electric vehicles in the public transportation sector.

The expansion of charging infrastructure is being viewed as an important step towards encouraging clean and sustainable transportation in Odisha. With the growing number of electric vehicles on the roads, the availability of reliable and easily accessible charging stations is becoming increasingly important.
