Festive Spirit Grips Nabarangpur as Grand Ganesh Puja Celebrations Bring Communities Together in Faith and Devotion

Nabarangpur,Sept 15 [UDN}:: The worship of Lord Ganesha, revered as the foremost deity to be worshipped before the beginning of any auspicious occasion, is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across Odisha. In Nabarangpur district, elaborate Ganesh Puja celebrations are being organised not only in towns and block headquarters but also in educational institutions and residential localities.

Ganesh idols have been installed at numerous locations across the district, with schools and colleges conducting special puja ceremonies in the presence of students and teachers. In various localities, youth groups have taken the initiative to organise puja mandaps and cultural activities, adding to the festive atmosphere.

In Dabugaon block, Ganesh Puja is being observed at several schools as well as at Bhairab Higher Secondary School. Besides educational institutions, puja mandaps have been set up at several prominent locations in Dabugaon, including Jayanti Nagar Square, the bus stand, the premises of the Dabugaon Community Health Centre, in front of the Jagannath Temple, Kalesi Mandap Square and other localities.

The Vighneswar Club near the Jagannath Temple is also organising Ganesh Puja with considerable enthusiasm. Similar celebrations are being held at different places in villages including Nuaguda, Bheluaguta, Revenueguda, Bharatguda and Dangariguda.

The festival atmosphere has been enhanced by colourful decorations and illuminated electric arches installed at various puja mandaps. Devotional songs and Ganesh bhajans played through public-address systems have added to the spiritual ambience, while large numbers of devotees are visiting the mandaps to offer prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha.

Meanwhile, the Dabugaon police administration has prohibited the use of DJ sound systems at the puja venues as part of measures to maintain peace and ensure that the celebrations remain orderly. Organisers are therefore using traditional musical instruments and other permitted sound arrangements during the puja.

The restrictions and instructions issued by the police have helped ensure that the celebrations are proceeding smoothly at different locations. Police personnel have been deployed at the puja mandaps under the direction of the concerned police station authorities to maintain security and manage the gathering of devotees.

The widespread participation of students, youth groups, local residents and devotees has turned Ganesh Puja into a vibrant community celebration across Nabarangpur district. The combination of religious devotion, attractive decorations and disciplined celebrations has created a festive atmosphere throughout the region.
