Financial Relief for Farmers Hit by Livestock Losses During Floods, Government Steps Up Measures to Safeguard Livelihoods and Economic Security

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 18 [UDN}:  Under this support mechanism, eligible farmers whose cattle, buffaloes, goats, sheep, pigs, poultry, or other livestock have been lost in the floods will receive financial assistance as compensation. The initiative is aimed at reducing the financial burden on affected farming families and helping them recover from the losses they have incurred.
The assistance will not only provide immediate economic relief but also help farmers rebuild their livestock resources and restore their livelihood activities. By extending timely support to families affected by flood-related livestock losses, the government is working to ensure livestock security, livelihood protection, and greater economic resilience among the farming community.
