Bhubaneswar, Aug 17 [UDN}:A delegation of former Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) met the Chief Minister and held discussions on various issues concerning their welfare. During the meeting, the former legislators raised demands related to an increase in their allowances, reimbursement of medical expenses and other expenditure-related provisions.
The former MLAs reportedly discussed the financial challenges faced by former legislators and sought appropriate measures to improve the existing benefits and facilities available to them. Particular emphasis was placed on increasing the allowance provided to former MLAs, covering medical treatment expenses and addressing other necessary expenditures.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the former legislators to place their concerns directly before the Chief Minister. They requested that their demands be considered sympathetically and that necessary steps be taken to provide enhanced financial and healthcare support.
The discussions are significant as former legislators have been seeking better provisions to meet their post-tenure financial and medical needs. The Chief Minister heard the issues raised by the delegation and discussed the various demands with them.
