Bhubaneswar, July 8 (UDN): A fresh low-pressure system is likely to develop over the Bay of Bengal, bringing the possibility of heavy rainfall across several parts of Odisha between July 12 and July 15, according to weather forecasts.
The new weather disturbance may lead to increased rainfall activity in coastal, northern and southern parts of the state. If the system gains further strength, some areas could experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
The development comes as Odisha continues to recover from the impact of recent rains and waterlogging in several regions. Authorities have been advised to remain prepared and monitor weather conditions closely.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) is closely tracking the weather system and will issue further updates based on its movement and intensity.
Residents in affected areas are advised to stay alert, follow official weather advisories and take necessary precautions during periods of heavy rainfall.
