Bhubaneswar, Aug 3 (UDN): Odisha is expected to witness a fresh spell of rainfall over the next four days under the influence of an active monsoon system, according to the latest update from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow warning for several parts of the state, cautioning residents about the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rainfall activity during this period.
The renewed rainfall activity comes as the monsoon system remains active over the region, bringing widespread cloud cover and showers across different districts of Odisha. Weather officials have advised people to remain alert, particularly during thunderstorms and lightning events.
The IMD has urged residents to take necessary precautions during adverse weather conditions, including avoiding open areas during lightning activity and staying updated with official weather advisories.
The fresh spell of rain is expected to provide further relief from dry conditions in some areas while also requiring close monitoring in low-lying regions and areas vulnerable to waterlogging.
Authorities are keeping a close watch on the evolving weather situation and have advised district administrations to remain prepared for any rainfall-related challenges.
The IMD will continue to monitor the monsoon system and issue further updates based on changes in weather conditions.
