Phulbani, June 13: Mr. Shubhrajit Samantaray has assumed charge as the new Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Gochhapada Police Station in Kandhamal district. The previous OIC, Sanjit Kumar Behera, has been transferred and posted as the Officer-in-Charge of Kabisuryanagar Police Station.
Prior to this appointment, Shubhrajit served as the Officer-in-Charge of Tumudibandh Police Station, where he earned appreciation from the public for his dedication, sincerity, and efficient service. During his tenure, he worked to improve the law-and-order situation in the area and ensured prompt resolution of public grievances.
He also strengthened night patrolling and kept a close watch on individuals involved in various anti-social activities.
Speaking about his new assignment, Shubhrajit stated that he would take strict action to curb the large-scale cultivation and illegal trafficking of cannabis (ganja) in the Gochhapada police station area. He has sought the cooperation of local residents and intellectuals in achieving this objective.
