Government to Extend Funding to Block Grant Colleges, Aiming to Improve Educational Standards and Support Faculty and Students

Bhubaneswar,  July 18 [UDN}:  The Higher Education Minister has clarified the confusion regarding free education from KG to PG. Except for professional and self-financing courses, all other courses will be provided free of cost.

Since the admission process had already begun before the scheme was launched, students who have already paid admission fees will receive refunds.

Reacting to the issue of Block Grant Colleges, the Higher Education Minister stated that the government will provide financial support to these institutions. Whether the fees are paid by students or by the government, the colleges will receive the required funds. The minister further assured that the government’s decision on free education will remain in force and be implemented as announced.
