Nabarangpur, May 04: The 178th birth anniversary of Madhubabu along with Lawyers’ Day was celebrated by the Nabarangpur District Bar Association at the District and Sessions Court premises.
District and Sessions Judge Sangram Keshari Pattnaik attended the कार्यक्रम as the chief guest, while Additional District Judge Bishnu Prasad Mishra, POCSO Court Judge Basudev Acharya, and senior advocate Subas Chandra Pal (as the chief speaker) were present as distinguished guests. The event was presided over by Association President Siraj Uddin Ahmed.
At the beginning of the program, the guests paid floral tributes to the statue of Madhubabu located within the court परिसर. Secretary Tapan Kumar Singh presented the annual report. In the absence of GP Rajeswar Khadanga, advocate Debi Prasad Singh presented his report.
On this occasion, GP Manas Tripathy, former Bar Association President Narasingha Nath Tripathy, and advocates Santosh Mishra, Saroj Dehera, and Kishori Pattnaik delivered their speeches. The chief guest, in his address, recalled the contributions of Madhubabu and advised lawyers to remain dedicated and committed to their profession.
Senior advocates Uma Shankar Tripathy and Prakash Chandra Mishra were felicitated with shawls and citations by the chief guest. Similarly, advocates Siraj Uddin Ahmed and Purnachandra Mohapatra, who received doctoral degrees for their contributions to social service, were also honored by the District Judge with shawls and certificates. The citations were read out by advocates Gopal Panigrahi and Shatabdi Pal.
The program was conducted by advocate Gajendra Das, while Vice President Sadashiv Sahu delivered the vote of thanks. Judges from various courts, along with treasurer Baba Alisa and advocates Shyam Prasad Gantayat, Prasanna Pattnaik, Birendra Nayak, Ram Babu Pattnaik, Prashant Pattnaik, Sharmistha Rath, Rakhi Jain, Pradeep Sahu, Srinivas Patra, and Srikant Panda, among others, were present at the event.
