Kotpad, June 18: The Panchayat Samiti office in Kotpad, the flagship programme “Vikasara Dhara, Odisha Sara” (The Stream of Development Across Odisha) was ceremonially inaugurated by the Hon’ble MLA of Kotpad, Shri Rupu Bhatra. The programme was formally launched in the presence of local public representatives, government officials, community leaders, and residents of the region.
The initiative aims to showcase and strengthen the developmental activities being undertaken by the Government of Odisha across various sectors, including rural development, infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, livelihood generation, women’s empowerment, social welfare, and digital governance. Through this programme, the government seeks to bring information about ongoing and completed development projects directly to the people, while also encouraging public participation in the state’s growth journey.
Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble MLA Shri Rupu Bhatra highlighted the importance of inclusive and sustainable development in rural areas. He emphasized that the vision behind “Vikasara Dhara, Odisha Sara” is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes and welfare programmes reach every household, particularly those living in remote and underserved regions.
