Jeypore: July 31 UDN}:Continuous rainfall over the past few days has severely affected normal life in Koraput district. Due to incessant rain, daily activities of people have been disrupted, and stepping out of homes has become difficult. A total of 522 mm of rainfall has been recorded in the district, according to sources.
The rising water levels in various rivers and streams due to continuous rain have increased concerns. The district administration is keeping a close watch on the hilly areas as the possibility of landslides has also increased.
During the monsoon season, a large number of tourists visit Koraput to enjoy its natural beauty. However, visitors have been advised to take special precautions while visiting rivers, waterfalls, and hilly areas. The district administration and local residents have urged tourists not to venture into risky locations unnecessarily and to remain cautious near places with strong water currents.
The administration has also advised people to stay updated with the latest weather information and follow all safety guidelines to ensure their security.
