A well-marked low-pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal.

It intensified into a well-marked low-pressure area by 5:30 AM.

A heavy rainfall warning has been issued for the next two days.

The low-pressure system is currently active over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas.

Heavy rainfall is likely to continue in several areas over the coming days.
