Hemant Sharma Confirms Plan to Set Up Major Steel Plants in Dhenkanal and Keonjha

Keonjhar, April 23:  According to Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department, steel plants will be established in Dhenkanal and Keonjhar.
Agreements have been signed with JSW and POSCO for this purpose. Hemant Sharma stated that currently, there are two steel plant projects in hand.
A 5 million tonne capacity plant will be set up in Keonjhar, while a 6 million tonne capacity plant will be established in Dhenkanal.
In Dhenkanal, around 100 acres of land is already available, and more land may be required. The state government will provide the necessary land. Additionally, all required permissions and clearances will be provided on time.
