Himachal Pradesh, April 08: An international seminar on the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will be in Himachal Pradesh. Around 80 representatives from Odisha, including members associated with Bhubaneswar-based Sanskrit institutions, will participate in the event.
On this occasion, participants have already begun their journey to Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh. With the joint support of the Paragpur Jagannath Temple and other organizations, the group will first visit Haridwar.
During the program, a new Hindi book on Lord Jagannath will be officially released at Bhuma Niketan. Various cultural and religious activities related to Jagannath tradition will also be organized, including:
Promotion of Jagannath culture Rath Yatra
Rituals and traditions of the Shrimandir (Jagannath Temple)
Special events like symbolic Rath Yatra and Snana Yatra
The international discussion forum will be held at Paragpur in Himachal Pradesh, focusing on Jagannath culture, traditions, and Vedic perspectives.
Scholars and speakers will present their views in Sanskrit and other languages. Eminent personalities like Pandit Kashinath Mishra will deliver discourses on Jagannath culture, while Dr. Narayan and Yog Mahapatra will also participate and share their insights during the seminar.
This event aims to promote and spread the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of Lord Jagannath beyond Odisha at a national and international level.
