New Delhi, June 26: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) and quantum technologies will play a key role in positioning India as a global leader in frontier technologies.
He said India is rapidly strengthening its research and innovation ecosystem with focused investments in emerging technologies, supported by strong collaboration between government, academia, and industry.
Dr Singh noted that AI is already transforming multiple sectors including governance, healthcare, education, and industry by improving efficiency and decision-making systems. He added that quantum technology holds the potential to revolutionise computing power, communication systems, and data security in the coming years.
The Minister highlighted that India’s expanding pool of skilled professionals, growing startup ecosystem, and policy support for deep-tech innovation are helping accelerate the country’s technological advancement.
He further said that sustained collaboration and investment in research and development will be crucial for India to remain competitive in the global technology landscape.
According to him, the combined growth of AI and quantum technologies will strengthen India’s digital economy and help establish the country as a key player in shaping the future of advanced technologies.
