Puri, May 13: The government has decided to bring all land belonging to Lord Jagannath, both within and outside the state, under its control. This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by the Law Minister.
Out of approximately 36,000 acres of land, around 25–26% is currently under encroachment. People who have been residing on this land for a long time will be given it through proper settlement.
Through this process, a large corpus fund for Lord Jagannath can also be created.
