Agarpada,March, 6: Jayashree Nayak of Bisalpata village near Agarpada has donated her hair for the benefit of cancer patients.
By donating 15 inches of her hair for cancer-affected women, Jayashree has set an inspiring example for others.
When a woman undergoes chemotherapy treatment for cancer, she often loses all her hair. After recovering and returning home, hair becomes important for restoring a woman’s appearance and confidence. An organization in Odisha named Sopabha Trust provides free wigs to women. Hair is required to prepare these wigs.
For this reason, many women and men donate their hair after growing it long enough so that wigs can be made for cancer patients. Following this noble cause, Agarpada’s Jayashree Nayak donated 15 inches from her long hair.
