Jharsuguda: Aug 5 [UDN}:Jharsuguda District Collector Kunal Motiram Chavan visited the hearing centre at the office of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer-cum-Tahasildar in Lakhanpur to review the progress of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) programme in the district.
During the visit, the District Collector conducted a detailed assessment of the status of disposal of various claims and objections submitted under the SIR process. He directed the officials present to ensure that all applications are resolved accurately, fairly, and within the stipulated time frame.
During the inspection, Collector Chavan also interacted with local voters who had come to the hearing centre. He enquired about any difficulties they were facing regarding voter list corrections and new name registrations. He advised the concerned officials to ensure that all election-related services are made easily available to the general public.
The Collector emphasized the importance of a transparent and smooth revision process so that eligible citizens can exercise their voting rights without any inconvenience.
