Jharsuguda:March, 14: A significant District-Level Banking Review Meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Shri Kunal Motiram Chahna.
The meeting, organized by the Lead Bank, conducted a detailed review of the loan disbursement status of various banks operating in the district and the effective implementation of government schemes.
During the meeting, Collector Shri Chahna emphasized the importance of providing financial assistance under various Central and State Government welfare schemes, such as agricultural loans, commercial loans, small business loans, and financial support to Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
He particularly advised bank officials to ensure immediate loan disbursement to beneficiaries under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme and the Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojana. He also directed all banks to achieve the targets assigned by line departments within the stipulated timeframe.
The meeting was conducted under the direct supervision of LDM Sirapani Naik. Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, Bishwaranjan Nayak, RBI LDO Anet Shraddha Toppo, NABARD DDM Tapas Behera, and SBI official Nibedita Barwa were among those present.
Additionally, branch managers of various banks and senior officials from different departments attended the meeting and presented reports on their banking activities and upcoming plans.
