Harichandanpur, Oct 29 [UDN}: A voluntary blood donation camp will be organised on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the premises of Kalindi Hero Motors in Talabazar, Harichandanpur, through the joint initiative of Kalindi Hero Motors, Good Morning Walkers Club, the voluntary organisation OSCA, and Sambad–Ama Odisha. A preparatory meeting for the camp was held on October 21 under the chairmanship of Basanta Kumar Pushti, proprietor of Kalindi Hero Motors.
During the meeting, OSCA Block Coordinator Dasharath Rout, blood donor Sushant Kumar Sahu, and Sambad representative Srinivas Paikaray attended as guests and discussed the importance of voluntary blood donation and its benefits to society. They highlighted the need to promote awareness about blood donation and encouraged people to come forward to help patients who require blood during medical emergencies, surgeries, and other critical situations.
The organisers appealed to a large number of volunteers and members of the public to participate in the upcoming camp and donate blood voluntarily, contributing to the noble cause of saving lives.
Several prominent members and social workers attended the preparatory meeting, including Good Morning Walkers Club President Binayak Sahu, Secretary Kedarnath Dash, Kalindi Hero Motors Manager Dipak Kumar Sahu, former Block Chairman Krushnachandra Mohanty, Mahendra Sahu, Karaka Suchita Mohanty, Anshuman Sahu, Dibyajyoti Sahu, Bhaba Grahi Sahu, Jagannath Munda, Sunil Kumar Rout, Tapan Bal, Gurubari Munda, Rakhi Sahu, Nirlipta Patra, Saubhagyalaxmi Mahanta, Sulita Majhi, Shubhankar Nayak, Shubham Nayak, Tofan Naik, Jadumani Rout, and Shibananda Sahu.
The initiative aims to strengthen the spirit of voluntary service and encourage community participation in blood donation, helping ensure that lifesaving blood is available to patients in need.
