Sulapur, July 28 UDN}:The 11th death anniversary of former minister Kalpataru Das was observed in the Sulapur block area of Jajpur district. On the occasion, a memorial meeting was organised in the Panchayat conference hall under the chairpersonship of Sarpanch Smritirekha Rout.
Kalpataru Das was widely known as a man of development. During his political career, he undertook several development-oriented initiatives for the people of his constituency. Speakers attending the programme said that his deep affection for his birthplace and commitment to its development were reflected in the various welfare and developmental works carried out during his tenure.
Naib Sarpanch Nedar Deo, Ward Members Militi Parida, Shyamsundar Sahu, Sadananda Panda, Nrusingha Malik, Chittaranjan Das, Dilip Sahu, Ramesh Samal, Silu Das, Shajilata Panda, Debasthita Parida, Basanti Das, Sulochana Das and Adhar Malik, among others, attended the meeting and paid tribute to the late leader by recalling his contributions and memories.
Gopinath Panda proposed the vote of thanks.
