15 Robbery Cases Linked to the Gang
The investigation revealed that the arrested persons were allegedly involved in a total of 15 criminal cases, including 13 cases registered in Khordha district and two in neighbouring Nayagarh district.
Among the 12 arrested persons, one is allegedly a receiver of stolen jewellery who helped facilitate the disposal of the robbed ornaments.

Investigators are now examining the alleged roles of each accused and their connections to the robbery incidents reported across the two districts.
Investigation Underway to Identify Wider Network
Khordha Police are continuing their investigation to determine whether the gang was involved in additional jewellery thefts and whether it had links with any inter-state criminal network.
Further questioning of the arrested persons is expected to help investigators establish the full extent of the alleged operation and identify other individuals connected with the stolen ornaments.
The police operation marks a significant breakthrough in efforts to curb organised jewellery theft and strengthen security across the affected areas of Khordha district.
