Koraput District Collector Presides Over Single Window Committee Meeting Alongside Reviews Under Odisha Food Processing Policy–2022 and MSME Development Policy–2022

Koraput, June 18:  Under the chairmanship of the District Collector of Koraput, the District-Level Single Window Committee meeting was held today, along with the District-Level Committee meeting conducted under the provisions of the Odisha Food Processing Policy–2022 and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Policy–2022.

The meeting was convened with the objective of reviewing, evaluating, and facilitating various investment proposals and industrial development initiatives submitted under the above-mentioned policies. During the session, detailed discussions were held on the progress of different projects related to food processing industries as well as MSME sector development in the district.
Officials present at the meeting examined the proposals received from entrepreneurs and investors, focusing on aspects such as project feasibility, employment generation potential,

Iinfrastructure requirements, compliance with policy guidelines, and the overall contribution of the proposed units to the economic growth of the district. Special emphasis was laid on accelerating the approval process under the Single Window Clearance System so as to ensure timely establishment of industries and reduction of procedural delays.

The District Collector reviewed the status of ongoing and upcoming industrial projects and instructed the concerned departments to extend full cooperation to investors. Departments including industries, electricity, water resources, pollution control, revenue, and labour were directed to coordinate effectively for the smooth implementation of the approved proposals.

Further, the meeting highlighted the importance of promoting food processing units under the Odisha Food Processing Policy–2022, aiming to strengthen value addition in agricultural and horticultural produce, reduce post-harvest losses, and create local employment opportunities. Similarly, under the MSME Development Policy–2022, the focus remained on encouraging small and medium entrepreneurs, promoting local enterprise development, and improving the industrial ecosystem in the district.

The officials also reviewed pending applications and cleared several proposals after necessary scrutiny and compliance verification. Entrepreneurs were encouraged to take advantage of government incentives, subsidies, and facilitation measures provided under both policies.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to enhance industrial growth in Koraput district through faster clearances, improved coordination among departments, and proactive support to investors and local entrepreneurs, thereby contributing to sustainable economic development and employment generation in the region.
