Kotpad, Aug 27 [UDN}:Several villages under Gumuda Gram Panchayat in Kotpad Block have been surrounded by floodwater following continuous and heavy rainfall in the area. The persistent downpour has led to a significant rise in the water level, causing water to enter several villages and creating a difficult situation for the local residents.
As the water level continued to rise and the possibility of further deterioration of the situation remained, the administration took immediate precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the people living in the affected areas. Residents from the vulnerable villages were evacuated and shifted to safer locations by the administration. Necessary steps are being taken to monitor the situation closely and provide assistance to the affected people, while priority is being given to ensuring the safety and well-being of those living in low-lying and waterlogged areas.
