Koraput , Sept 21 [UDN}:Koraput District Collector visited Digapur Gram Panchayat under Kundura Block and reviewed various development and livelihood-related activities being implemented at the grassroots level.
During the visit, the Collector inspected the Gram Panchayat-level Federation office and interacted with members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to understand their activities, income-generation opportunities and livelihood conditions. The Collector also reviewed vegetable cultivation initiatives, with emphasis on strengthening agriculture-based livelihoods and improving the economic prospects of rural families.
The Collector further visited the Primary Health Centre, an additional classroom facility, the Gram Panchayat Subhadra Shakti Kendra, and a Bhagabat Tungi, taking stock of the functioning and utilisation of these facilities.
A goat farm was also inspected as part of the review of livelihood-generation activities. During interactions with SHG members, the Collector discussed their ongoing economic activities and sought information on the challenges they face and the support required to further improve their livelihoods.
As part of the field visit, the Collector also visited a Bhim Bhoi Bhinnakshyam Samarthya Abhiyan camp, where services and support being provided to persons with disabilities were reviewed.
The visit focused on assessing the ground-level implementation of development programmes, strengthening rural livelihoods, improving access to essential services and ensuring that government initiatives reach beneficiaries effectively.
