Bhubaneswar, July 2 {UDN}: In a significant step toward improving emergency medical care for road accident victims, the government has launched the PM-Rahat Scheme.
Under the scheme, people injured in road accidents are entitled to cashless treatment for up to seven days, with medical assistance of up to ₹1.5 lakh. The initiative aims to ensure that accident victims receive timely and life-saving treatment without the burden of immediate medical expenses.
A total of 798 private hospitals across the state have been empanelled under the scheme to provide these cashless treatment services, ensuring wider access to emergency healthcare for accident victim
