Bhubaneswar, April 01: Hidden mineral wealth beneath Odisha’s soil
Traces of diamond deposits have been identified in Kalamidadar area of Nuapada district.
Signs of ruby (precious stones) have been found in Hinijilbahal–Jilingibahal areas of Junagarh.
So far, no pearl mines have been identified in Odisha.
Copper-bearing ore has been discovered in Riamal block of Deogarh district.
Along with copper ore, the presence of graphite, nickel, and gold has also been indicated.
In Kuliana Madanasahi–Kanjia areas of Mayurbhanj, copper-bearing ore has been found.
There is also an estimation of gold presence along with copper in these areas.
Gold-bearing stones have been discovered in Gopur–Jaldihi areas of Banspal.
