Major Rebranding Move as CRUT Name Changed, Replacing ‘Capital’ with ‘Comprehensive’ to Reflect Broader Urban Mobility Objectives

Bhubaneswar, May 21:  Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra informed that the government has changed the name of CRUT. It has been renamed from “Capital Region Urban Transport” to “Comprehensive Region Urban Transport.”

The minister also announced that Ama Bus services will operate in Baripada, Angul, Jharsuguda, and Balasore.

He further stated that the Ama Bus service will become completely EV-based. Around 100 electric buses will be introduced for Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Rourkela, while another 100 EV buses will operate in Sambalpur and Berhampur.
