Bhubaneswar, June 12: Based on the Odisha Curriculum Framework–School Education 2025, the academic burden of subjects from Shishu Vatika (pre-primary level) to Class VIII will be reduced. In this regard, the Project Director of OSEPA has informed all District Education Officers.
According to the guidelines:
Out of the 230 working days fixed for the academic year, 20 days will be reserved for various formative assessment activities.
In accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, another 20 days will be set aside for annual functions and other celebrations.
Ten bagless days will also be observed annually.
Thus, 190 days in the academic year will be treated as actual teaching days.
Each working day will consist of seven periods. After teaching hours, teachers will review the day’s activities and prepare plans for the following day. They will also discuss students’ academic progress with the School Management Committee and parents.
