Bhubaneswar, April 13 The application process for admission into teacher education courses (B.Ed, Hindi B.Ed, and M.Ed) in Odisha has been completed.
There are 2,800 seats available across 31 institutions, while a total of 1,13,540 candidates have applied—around 40.55 times the available seats. Notably, the number of female applicants is higher than male applicants.
According to Student Academic Management System data:
76,439 female candidates
37,094 male candidates
7 third-gender candidates
Course-wise applications:
B.Ed: 1,09,873 applicants
Hindi B.Ed: 1,879 applicants
M.Ed: 1,788 applicants
The application process began on March 23 and concluded on April 6, with April 7 given for corrections.
All applicant data will be handed over to the State Selection Board on April 13 for conducting the entrance examination.
Admit cards: Available from May 27 (2 PM onwards) on the SSB website
B.Ed Entrance Exam: May 31
M.Ed & B.H.Ed Exams: June 3
The provisional answer key will be released between June 5 and 7, during which candidates can raise objections. The final answer key will be submitted to Odisha Computer Application Centre on June 9.
