MGNREGS Continues to Transform Rural Infrastructure with Improved Road Connectivity Linking Villages to Essential Services and Markets

Bhubaneswar,  June 27 {UDN}:  Rural connectivity is being further strengthened under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).

A road project with a culvert/cross-drainage structure, constructed during 2025–26 in Champi Gram Panchayat under Laxmipur Block of Koraput district, has significantly improved connectivity between nearby villages. The project has provided safe and convenient transportation for nearly 300 families, ensuring easier access throughout the year.

In addition to improving mobility, the initiative is playing a vital role in accelerating the social and economic development of the region by enhancing access to essential services, markets, education, and healthcare.
