Bhubaneswar, Nov 5 (UDN): Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Murasu’ weakened into a deep depression last night. It is expected to further weaken into a depression today.
During the past six hours, the system moved at a speed of 7 kmph and remained centred over coastal south Andhra Pradesh.
The cyclone crossed the Andhra Pradesh coast near Ongole in the early hours of yesterday, between Nellore and Narasapur.
Under its influence, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry experienced heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds.
