Nabarangpur Set for Infrastructure Growth with MLA Launching a Series of Development Projects Across the Constituency

Nabarangpur, June 23 {UDN}:   Local MLA and Chairman of the District Planning Board, Gourishankar Majhi, laid the foundation stones for several public welfare projects aimed at accelerating the development of the town.

On this occasion, foundation stones were laid for the construction of a toilet at Shishu Vatika, a Bhagavata Tungi near Gayatri Temple, a community building for Om Shanti Youth Association in Harijan Sahi, a boundary wall for the Durga Mandap in Gouda Sahi, the Maa Duar Mandeini Temple in Bhagabati Sahi, and a prayer hall at the Alekh Mahima Gadi, among other development works.

The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by Municipality Chairperson Kunu Nayak, BJP Town Mandal President Amulya Mishra, District General Secretary Debadas Mahankud, Suresh Shastri, Sanjib Nanda, Bhuban Nayak, Ashwini Das, Councillors Sarmistha Deo, M. Usharani, I. Murali Krishna, Mamata Maharana, Kishori Pattnaik, Jyoti Benya, Amit Pradhan, A. Satish, Somesh, Sanjib Sahu, Bitu, along with several public representatives, government officials, and local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Gourishankar Majhi said that these projects would significantly improve basic civic amenities and contribute to the overall development of the town. He expressed confidence that the initiatives would serve as important milestones in enhancing the quality of life of local residents and meeting the growing needs of the urban population.
Local residents welcomed these development-oriented initiatives and thanked the MLA for prioritizing public infrastructure and community welfare. The MLA further assured that many more projects would be implemented in the coming days to ensure sustained growth and comprehensive development across the region.

Additional Note: The newly announced projects are expected to strengthen community infrastructure, improve sanitation facilities, support religious and cultural activities, and create better public spaces for residents. These efforts reflect the government’s commitment to inclusive urban development and improving the standard of living for people in Nabarangpur.
