Mathili , July 17 [UDN}: The long-awaited new bus stand at Mathili, which had witnessed controversy over its naming, was formally inaugurated. The inauguration ceremony was marked by Mathili Block Chairman Mr. Mahesh Kumar Baka flagging off the first bus service from the new bus stand.
The first bus service to commence operations from the newly inaugurated bus stand was the Mathili–Kaliaguda bus service. Buses from this new facility will gradually begin operating to all panchayats under the block. The bus stand will also serve as a halt and transit point for both government-run and private buses operating in the region.
Among those present at the inauguration ceremony were Block Chairman Mr. Mahesh Kumar Baka, Block Development Officer (BDO) Mr. Pramod Kumar Behera, Tahsildar Ms. Manasi Bhoi, Mathili Sarpanch Mr. Kanamaraju Nayak, Samiti Member Mr. Balaraju Kope, along with several other dignitaries and prominent personalities.
