Bhubaneswar, July 2: The Odisha Chief Electoral Office has announced that the draft electoral roll for the state will be published on July 5, 2026, marking a key step in the electoral roll revision process. The announcement comes after a comprehensive review of preparatory arrangements by election authorities.
Ahead of the publication, Chief Electoral Officer R. S. Gopalan chaired an all-party meeting to review the electoral roll revision process and ensure transparency and coordination with political stakeholders.
Following the publication of the draft roll, citizens will be able to verify their voter details and submit claims or objections between July 5 and August 4, 2026. Eligible voters can apply for the inclusion of their names, correction of existing entries, or deletion of ineligible or duplicate records during this period.
The Chief Electoral Office has urged all eligible voters to carefully check their details in the draft electoral roll and make use of the claims and objections window to ensure the voter list remains accurate and up to date.
The revision exercise is aimed at strengthening the integrity of the electoral process by ensuring that the electoral roll accurately reflects the state’s eligible voting population.
