Odisha CM Launches Third Phase of Antyodaya Housing Scheme to Empower Rural Families

In a significant step toward inclusive development, the Odisha government has launched the third phase of the Antyodaya Housing Scheme, aimed at providing permanent housing to economically vulnerable families across the state. Ahead of Diwali, nearly 48,693 beneficiaries have received the first installment of financial assistance for constructing their own homes.

This initiative goes beyond infrastructure—it seeks to restore dignity, provide security, and improve the quality of life for thousands of households who have long awaited stable shelter.

Strengthening Local Governance

Alongside the housing initiative, the Chief Minister also initiated the foundation laying for 471 new Gram Panchayat office buildings. This move highlights the state’s focus on reinforcing the administrative framework at the grassroots level, ensuring that development schemes are implemented efficiently and reach the intended communities.

A Festival with Meaningful Impact

By launching these programs just before the Diwali festival, the government is bringing meaningful celebration to families who can now look forward to a brighter, safer future. The combination of housing support and rural infrastructure development reflects a well-rounded approach to rural empowerment and social justice.

A Step Towards a Developed Odisha

The Antyodaya Housing Scheme forms a vital part of the broader mission to build a more equitable and developed Odisha, where no family is left behind. With a focus on uplifting the underserved, the government is making measurable progress in improving living standards and strengthening the foundation of rural Odisha.
