Bhubaneswar, July 3 {UDN}: The state government has announced that it will distribute one crore (10 million) copies of the Lakshmi Purana to promote Odisha’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. It has also decided to develop a grand Mahalakshmi Corridor at the birthplace of the renowned poet Balaram Das, the author of the sacred text.
The initiative aims to preserve and celebrate Odisha’s literary and religious traditions while boosting cultural tourism. The proposed corridor is expected to include modern visitor facilities, heritage conservation, and spaces for religious and cultural activities. The project is seen as a significant step toward honoring the legacy of Balaram Das and strengthening awareness of Odisha’s timeless spiritual values.
